Re: [Fairlight-CMI] Analogue Interface and Syco Conductor card

2005-05-16 by James Thomson

Hi Tim,

No, my CMI 2x did not come with the breakout box. I do not know of anyone who has the interface for the Syco \u201c conductor \u201c card.
Maybe some other guys on the list know some more about this card. It has been very quiet here lately but maybe it will pick up soon !

Hi James -

Thanks for the response.

Do you have the breakout box for the CMI-07? Makes it much easier to use.

Also, did your Conductor card come with it's interface?

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim,

My CMI 2X came with the CMI-07 card installed and wired up to two multiway
D-connectors on the rear of the CMI. I noticed that out of all the cards the
CMI-07 generated the most heat. I had Peter Wielk do a Papst fan
modification significantly reducing the noise of the CMI. I thought as I
wasn't using the CMI-07 I might as well remove it and all of the cabling.
So, I haven't actually used it properly but would be interested to hear
how well it works with CV/Gate analogue synthesizers.
Regarding the Syco " conductor " card, I have one of these as well but I
have no idea how this actually works with the CMI 2X.
Well it looks like I haven't answered any of your questions !
I hope all is well.
