Damn! That's such a shame! I wonder if this can be modified in anyway? What's the RES like on a IIx? -----Original Message----- From: Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of RY Stroh Sent: 14 June 2005 15:38 To: Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Fairlight-CMI] Re: Series 3 Filter Resonance Hi all, I remember doing some experiments on the resonance filters on Pascal Nicot's CMI III (rev 9.34). (the first time he came to visit me, he brought his III to my place) ( Hi Pascal !) to be honest, the result was a bit disapointing. thought this parameter can be adjusted, the resonance that can be obtained is not dramatical. Nothing like what you get with any analog synth. It seems that Fairlight considered the filter as a reconstruction filter only, and only added the resonnance to steepen the slope of the filter... not something to really sculpt the harmonics in itself à la PPG.
