Hi Peter,

Velocity switching can be achieved on the series III by loading two 
voices into the same instrument, buddying the second with the first 
and setting the velocity controllers in the FX page. Set te first 
voice to respond to positive velocity and the second to respond to 
reverse velocity, set the response ranges and there you go. Not so 
easy but not impossible.
