can't get it to do this. I've tried typing "save xxx.sy" in the Sys Config
menu...

peter - you create a "system file" - SY- suffix. you confirure your
instruments - nphony,midi channels, etc and save this configuration as
an "sy" fille. the SC (system configuration) page is very useful.
