Hi Bill, For a Windows system, the RS-file can be transferred the following way: 1.) On the Series III, convert the RS-file from within the RS-page into a TK-file via the "capsgen" command. 2.) Attach the Fairlight drive to a PC with SCSI-interface. 3.) Convert the TK-file via cmios9 with the help of the command "sq2mid myfile.TK myfile.mid". You can use the same procedure for the conversion of voice files to WAV, using the cmios9 command "vc2wav". (In any case, cmios9 is still a command-line program and therefore quite technical.) As for MacOS-X, I currently don't use this platform (and hence there are no Mac-executables yet). Hope this was helpful, Michael --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, "billyrockplay" <billyrockplay@...> wrote: > > Hi Michael - i'd love to find a way to bring sound and sequence (RS files) from my series III > over to my G5. i may be a bit behind on this issue but would appreciate suggestions with > respect to additional connectors/software and where i can acquire necessary tools. > peace > Bill Rayner >
