doesn't involve too much hardware changes and the software still looks the same.
It still sounds like a Fairlight and looks like a Fairlight but basically the
potential functionality of it is increased amd opens doorways to many further
upgrade options. It doesn't take away the original character, the upgrades were
just moving with the times...
But,
as you say if you're not using it professionally and keeping it from a
collectors point of view, it aint worth going for the
upgrade...

Thanks for the answer. I bought a rev6.03 this summer and I also looked at the 9.34
upgrade benefits. But I'm a collector and when I saw all the modifications that were
needed, I changed my mind. To me, the rev 9.34 is a completly other machine and
the upgrade process involves too much hardware changes... But I'm not using my
CMI in a professional context, so I understand that other people need a fast and easy
to use machine.
