That's probably right.
Two things I learned on ebay:
1 - Seller says "I don't know if the unit works."
Translation: "Unit is broke and too costly for me to fix."
2 - Seller says "I'm only selling this - know nothing about the unit."
Translation: "You'll be disappointed when you get the unit - but don't complain to me about it!"
Suppose Vivian kept a 3rd Fairlight after cannibalizing these two?
