Hello Michael

I have used an MFX2 tower exactly as yours for many years.

I would definitly advise you to bounce tracks from the page R in the
dtd . Edit the sounds later as possible in your "hd" mac.
You can synchronise the Mfx2 dtd with the page R , just press the play
button and the 2 will work together in concert.

If you use a lot of polyphony voices in a setup , bounce them in the
dtd. So you can free your cmi voices to go further in your project
without leaving the fairlight . Virtualy you get 14*16 = 224 channels
of cmi voices ( DTD recording borrow you 2 channels for recording )
Record any live musician or vocals in the fairlight too, at the end
you ll get an other sound . Nothing to compare to a mac or based dtd song.

Building a song in the DTD is light fast, the remote and screen are
very helpfull and efficient. No need of a mouse or tons of windows.
