Fairlight-CMI

So....I´ve made my masterpiece of music using Page R and want to sync it to 
an external clock source.

Where do I connect my syncsource ?

To the CMI XLR Sync connector or,

to the 3-pin DIN connector on the General Interface box ?

And/or should I make a special cable that goes from the General Interface 
Box Sync Out ( 4 ) to the CMI XLR Sync input ?
