Hi, I'm new to the group, but not to the Fairlight - I've had my original Series III since purchasing it new in late 1986. It's a fully loaded sytem with the exception of the voice-router, running v9.34 software. Recently, I've been thinking of trying to move some of the voices/samples from my library into some other format, say Kontakt for example. Rubber Chicken Software (ChickenSys Translator) has (or will have soon) the ability to convert Series III samples to other formats, according to discussions I've been having with them. What I'd like to know is if there is some way to mount the Fairlight hard drive(s) onto a PC with a SCSI interface card? (I'm afraid I don't know what format the Fairlight III drives were done under - that info would be helpful as well.) I have one of the Series III external HD enclosures, as well as the internal HD. Or are there any tools that have been created for this purpose, to get the data off of a Fairlight III hard drive and onto a PC? Any info/pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
