Because this topic is not about whether Macs are good or not, which is exactly the gist of what you replied to. It's not about operating systems: it's about software, even if it IS geared (for now, anyway) for a specific operating system.

Think of it this way: talking specifically about digital music does not necessarily make it relevant to talk about binary code, which is technically what digital music is made out of.
