> > This sounds great.  You say V2 "sound engine directly supports mode 1 and mode 4 fairlight modes plus full ppg wavetables". So do you mean V2 includes Mode 1 and Mode 4? Does V2 include any additive synthesis functions as in V1. I am intrigued by the additive synthesis functions of the fairlight cmi machines. > Does V2 include voice and loop editing like V1? > Alex ok, lets clarify what mode 1 and mode 4 are: mode 1 (electronic sounds) - uses segments 1-32, each segment is sustained (looped) according to to a duration profile mode 4 (natural sounds) - uses segments 1-128, with each one playing once. a loop can occur which will return to a previous segment That is the official fairlight description of each mode so mode 4 is a standard sample playback with a loop point mode 1 is a sort of duration based wavetable ppg wavetables are slightly different a segment is a wavetable. a wavetable loops indefinitely with external control (lfo/envelopes) allowing a different wavetable to be used The sound engine I developed for V2 supports Mode 1, mode 4 and ppg wavetable synthesis Hope that clarifies everyhitng :)
