Hi Stephen, this is just to let you know that I successfully tried some random DDS, DDS 2 or DDS 3 streamer to my CMI III - it worked immediately as a drop in replacement for the 8mm streamer I had originally got. Not for the same tapes of course :-) As far as I can see, DDS streamers and tapes are rather cheap nowadays; and the experience suggests that other SCSI streamers might work as well.
