Take a picture so you know how to reattach the cables.

You need soldering skills to properly remove the battery. It is a usually
purple fairly big round flat item. If you do not have soldering experience
it is best to remove the board and store it outside of the case so if it
starts leaking at least the rest of the system does not get affected. Have
the battery removed by someone else.
