Re: [Fairlight-CMI] Single Sided disks useable in a IIx?

2003-12-18 by Colin Ross

Hi there
You can only use double sided double density soft sector 8 inch floppies for
the IIx. You would get an error if you tried to use anything else. The drive
is very tempermental.
If you need disks Alexander Guelfenberg of Virtual Music. Link is now
provided on the forum's link page.

Colin

      ICMI IIX: 8" floppy disks

Brand new and sealed boxes with 10 floppies for the Fairlight CMI IIX

The legendary Fairlight Computer Musical Instrument IIX needs for
operation special 8" floppies. We can offer you 8" floppy disks which fit
optimal to the CMI IIX. Each box is originally shrink-wrapped by the
manufacturer and contains 10 unused floppies.

These rare 8" Disks for the CMI IIX are available for Euro 19,- per
box (=10 pcs.).
