Hi all - apologies if this is a little off-topic.
I'm organising this year's 'Synthesized' for the Centre for Computing History here in Cambridge, UK. Here's a bit of info on last year - http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/41952/Synthesized-22-23-July-2017/
Basically, it's a celebration of retro synthesisers and computer music, and I can't think of any better intersection of those two things than the Fairlight CMI.
Obviously I would be over the moon if someone popped up and said "I could bring mine", but I know that's a huge ask. I don't know how many there are in the UK and if anyone would be happy moving their loved (and fragile) machine. But I would imagine anyone who does have a Fairlight must also have an interest in vintage synthesisers and computers - and if anyone is local and would like to get involved, maybe bring something, maybe give a talk, maybe just come along to have a look, please drop me a line!
Many thanks in advance,
Tony Jewell
