RE: [Fairlight-CMI] DEAD - Where is everyone?

2004-02-27 by Peter Connelly (Core Design Ltd.)

Hi Klaus,
Let me know how you get on with the digital mixer as I often wonder how long it will be until I venture into this field. I did have a Yamaha 01r (or something) a few years back but didn't like it...
Cheers,
Peter

Hi Peter

I’m still here, reading the mails. I have just bought a digital mixersystem (Roland VM-7200 and VM-C7200) and are spending all my sparetime learning the digital mixerworld. I have always used analogue mixers, but have now decided to join the digital world. It’s very exciting. It’s quite different – even for a Fairlight-user. It’s far more complex with a lot of new possibilities, but best of all – I got rid of more than 100 cables – insertcables, a lot of peripheral cables to and from effect-machines etc.

Sincerely

Klaus

Is this group dying or is everyone still around but keeping a low profile?
