Hi Peter, It does not say that it comes with the sampling option, so if that's what you're looking for, it is something different. I have the original senior brochures somewhere and even the 'clan of the cavebear' demo tape by Alan Silvestri if I'm not mistaken. The 'Sync' or 'Synclav' as it is called had a lot of 'options' like sampling and 'direct to disk TM' recording that extended the II. To my knowledge there is no Synclavier III.
