I can't remember the actual screen named used for the auction on eBay, but they did send pictures...about 5 of them...along with a description. Again, the Barclay bank details noted payee as "Jurgita Petrulyte" Is that the same bank details you received? --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, "Peter Connelly \(Core Design Ltd.\)" <PeterC@C...> wrote: > I was in contact too. It is supposedly in Italy and I mentioned I had many contacts in Italy that would be willing to view it, but he started to become quite abrupt and almost flustered. > > I too got his bank details and a number to send a copy of the transfer to. It's a shame banks can't do anything about this, even if it's blatant the guy is a hoax. I had this problem last year, along with dozens of other buyers, with another hoax seller. The bank did nothing! The police even find it hard to liase with banks under these circumstances. > > I don't know if you got him to send any photos. I did and as did one or two other members of this forum. They were pictures of a Synclavier and basically, the whole auction was based around a recent 'genuine' auction by SynHouse (is this right?). > > P > > -----Original Message----- > From: emailforfabian [mailto:emailforfabian@y...] > Sent: 24 May 2004 20:28 > To: Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [Fairlight-CMI] ebay fraud?
