Hi Peter,

Glad you're back and involved with the list again.

It sounds a little and crazy over there, but assume it's all going well.

Take care and speak soon!

Cheers,
Peter

Subject: [Fairlight-CMI] Horiprod alive and well....

Hi all.

I have been very busy here in Sydney doing a real job, so apologies
for not keeping in touch. I have been meaning to get in contact with
the group, as I still follow events daily.

I have been in communication with Greg Holmes about the possibility
of getting my site up again, and provide any help to the Fairlight
community I can.

Regarding specifically the 32 Mbyte RAM cards, I did actually long
ago mail one of the user group members (can't remember whom), saying
we would need a "critical mass" of 10 firm orders before we could go
ahead and manufacture. However, I don't think this information ever
got posted, so here we go again. I proposed that if enough folk were
keen, they should lodge a deposit (not with myself, but some trusted
third party), and I would start the ball rolling again.
Unfortunately, the original PCB manufacturerer went bust, so there
would still be the set up costs of a new run, but we do have the CAD
board designs to use. I would also have to see if the RAM arrays are
still available, but I'm sure there must be some around (I can still
pick up 4Gbyte hard drives OK!). The price should be about the same:
ie GBP 660.

Let me know if anyone's interested.

Regards,

Peter Wielk

Horizontal Productions in sunny Sydney.

Hi Peter,

Any idea when you will be sending mine?

You mentioned it has 11.39 commands on there or something, along
with some additional libraries to the ones I have (thanks), but is
it simply a case of swapping this new drive for my old faulty
external drive, like for like, or is it a little more technical than
that? What are the 11.39 details?

Hope all is going well :-)

Cheers,
Peter
