What's the weight of a IIx system?

What's the weight of a IIx system?

2005-04-14 by dvdborn

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how much a IIx system weights (in Kilograms) consisting of the CPU,
Keyboard & Lightpen, Musical Keyboard and Monitor?

I'd like to calculate some shipping costs.

Best,
David Vandenborn

Hi David,

You need to include the weight of flightcases as well, you should not ship
a fairlight without flightcases unless you have a big car and go to the UK
by boat. SKB cases work very well for the keyboard.

Off the top of my hat I recall it to be around 35 Kg for the keyboard and
case, 30 Kg for the monitor and ASCII keyboard and case and about 70 Kg
for the CPU and case. Then there are cables and floppy disks which weigh a
few kg.

So about 135 Kgs total I'd say.
If you can wait until the weekend, I can give you the exact weight
including cases.

I'm located in Holland.

Regards,
Harald.
