Fairlight-CMI

Hi,

I know this is probably not possible but I wonder if it could be possible to
have one CMI 2X music keyboard play a CMI 2X and then with a switching box
be able to play a CMI series 3.
 I do not have very much space and it would be great to have one keyboard
but be able to still play the CMI 2X and CMI 3. Anyone have any ideas ?

Hi James,

Yes, use MIDI.

You could check on the possibility to program the light-switch to change
MIDI channels and have the keyboard act as a MIDI controller for both
units.

As an alternative, you could use a MIDI controller with channel selection
to control both CMIs and have them set up to receive MIDI key info on
different channels.
