Hi James,
Yes, use MIDI.
You could check on the possibility to program the light-switch to change
MIDI channels and have the keyboard act as a MIDI controller for both
units.
As an alternative, you could use a MIDI controller with channel selection
to control both CMIs and have them set up to receive MIDI key info on
different channels.
