Pondering a trade for a Series III

Pondering a trade for a Series III

2005-05-16 by Tim Curtis

Hi Everyone -

I've been cleaning up the studio, the shop, the storage area, and the
rest of the house, and I'm coming to thr realization that I might simply
have too much stuff - I don't know what I'll ever do with 3 Prophet 5s,
3 Pro Ones, 2 Minimoogs, etc. Some of these duplicates should probably
go, as well as some of the items that I rarely ever use.

Before putting them up for sale, I thought that I'd try here to see if
anyone has a Series III that they might be looking to trade off for some
analog goodies? I'm not sure just what kind of configuration I'm
looking to get, so I'm not really sure what kind of trade offers to make.

Just thought I'd put the word out.

Tim

Hi Tim,

The luxury to have all of that space ! I would be interested to know more
about your Prophet 5's. I am a big Sequential fan and would be curious to
know the Rev's/condition and serial numbers.
Good luck with finding a good series 3 ! I would recommend a OS 9.34 CMI
with the router card installed on the rear of the CMI. Also ,if it has the
VGA monitor option this is good to have as well. Yes, there is a OS9 command
which will make any VGA display look like the original green/black display
on the original CMI monitor which was fed a composite signal.
I have noticed that fewer and fewer CMI's are showing up in general for
sale. I see a CMI 3 on Ebay but it doesn't come with the music keyboard. I
wonder where it is ?

Good Luck !
