Trying to backup system partitions on a Series III

Trying to backup system partitions on a Series III

2005-07-21 by brian_ronn

Hi

I've managed to format 3 BASF flexydisk 8 2D (format -f0 vrn "1"
with a return code $0010CC good sectors (which I believe is normal).

Then I tried to make the system backup by typing pback /k0 /f0. The
Series III say: "Device /f0 will be overwritten proceed? (y/n): y

When replying y I'm told: "Error (destination): write phys, error
247 - disk seek error.

Typing: free /f0 I get this: "1" created on: 00/00/01, Capacity:
4,300 sectors (1-sector clusters) 2,290 free sectors, largest block
2,290 sectors.

When I apply a dir /f0, there are files called sys, CMDS and
CMI.OS9.6.03. Can I assume that the /k0 partition is backed up? Or
if not how can the Series III format the disc okay and then give me
a destination seek error when I'm doing the pback command?

The drive is cleaned with a proper cleaning disc.

Any help here is very appreciated :-)

Best regards
