Fairlight Serial numbers

2005-08-03 by lairdfairlight

I was wondering about the serial numbers of two cmi keyboards I have.
I guess they are series one. SNC018005 and SNC028010..Does that mean
they are from 1980 and the 5 and 10 ones made in that series? They'e
black and tan..(hmmmm...I want a drink) any way..Any idea of the first
serial number for a series one and the last for a IIx???..and how many
are still around. 50?

Most likely they are manufactured on january 5 1980 and february 10 1980.
There must be quite a few, more than 50.

Black sounds like a refurbished (repainted) one.
Tan sounds about right for a series I, II and IIx keyboard.

They can all be used for I,II and IIx. They are more or less identical.

I would presume more than 50 are still around.
