It likely is a demo tape to show off the new sounds in the library. If it
is cheap, sure, get it :)

I have such a tape for the NED Synclavier, shows off various capabilities
of the Synclav. Has a track from a movie scored by Alan Silvestri called
clan of the cavebear.

That's exactly what it is. They used to give us those as new libraries were released. It was used as a sales tool. I think they also came with the streaming tape for previewing.
