Is this the full thing ? Where are you going to put the analogue
cards ?

Have I missed something really obvious ?

Only cardcage with rev 3.20 motherboard, the seller states

This is only the digital cage.

Hence I find the opening line of the description

"Rack-mount your Fairlight CMI Series III the way it should be!"

a bit misleading.

The analogue cards require a second (different) cage.

Are you sure?

I thought it looked like the cards from the front of a standard S3
goes at the top set of ports and the rear go to the bottom? I've seen
a picture of a loaded rack with this type of configuration...

I could be completely wrong, but this is what I recall.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi Peter,

This is exactly right, but what you're looking at on ebay is two top
cabinets placed on top of eachother, what is missing are the two bottom
cabinets.

You'd want one top and one bottom cabinet.

Best regards,
Harald.

Ah, I see... I didn't really read the listing and have just noticed
both units say "Digital Card Cage".

The other item synhouse has for auction is an MFX controller for the
S3. Is it worth having one of these? James T - You have one don't you?

Cheers,
Peter
