Dear Mr Roguski,

Thank you for your email seeking permission to use 'Top of the Pops' on
your website.

Unfortunately we are unable to grant permission for your request. This is
because BBC Copyright cannot permit identifiable BBC footage to be hosted
on a non BBC site, due to the complex copyright issues involved.

That said you are more than welcome to provide hyperlinks to or publish
the URL for our content. Please note that in such instances we cannot
guarantee how long the content in question will remain on bbc.co.uk, nor
can we guarantee that the URL or structure of our site will remain the
same.

I am sorry that I cannot offer you a more encouraging reply; nevertheless
I would like to thank you again for taking the time to contact us with
your request.

Regards,

Hello,

recently I opened a website ( http://fairlight.id.uw.edu.pl ) aiming to
collect different materials (audio, text, video) concerning the
Fairlight CMI system (a synthesizers) to which a few friends of mine
have already sent me a few video clips featuring this "beast". Since the
site's popularity grew outside a narrow circle of Fairlight users, I'd ask
you for official permission (or denial) to keep these materials
online. It's not much: so far three clips of "Top of the Pops", short
demonstration probably featured in "Tomorrow's World".

I'd also like to ask you if it's possible to supply abother short
excerpts of programmes featuring CMIs.

Thank you for your attention,

Marcin Roguski

I applaud you for having asked permission !
Please keep them in storage somewhere. Private viewing should not be a
problem and if there's a group meeting it will provide entertaining
material.

Best regards,
Harald.

Yeah, I removed them from public content, but nothing disappears completely
you know :)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
