Fairlight-CMI

Hi everyone

I have uploaded some pictures of my Series III from my studio in the 
members section. It's funny, because I have not been using it for a 
couple of years, but all the activity on this site (and Greg Holmes 
site), made me want to startup the beast again, and I'm really 
enjoying playing the Fairlight again. Actually I'm planning to take 
it out live, which I never have done before. The last 3-4 years I've 
been using my AKAI samplers (CD3000XL and S5000) and Emagics EXS24 
mkII. I knew the CMI sounded better, but I was surpised how much 
better it actually sounds after all those years. Of course, the newer 
samplers can do things, the old lady can't, but when it come to the 
dynamics in the sounds, there's no doubt - the CMI is gold. There's 
no doubt in my mind. The Fairlight is back in my studio for good.

BTW - I tried to edit in the database, but I was told, I didn't have 
the permissions to edit - Colin, if you can edit for me, my Series 
III only has 8 MB RAM and not 14 MB as told.
