Have a look here….

http://www.ghservices.com/gregh/fairligh/topsong/

It’s not exhaustive but gives a very good list.

Great record !

Classic !

Not much Fairlight on this one, frankly I believe none. You must however get "The Flat Earth". Lots of CMI 2 on that one.

I´ve never really understood what the Fairlight drum sound was all about. All my idols used the Linn Drum ( or DMX ). I suspect that this is the sound you want.

The Linndrum is simply the best Drum Machine. Period.

All sounds fits together, it sounds amazing just straight out of the box with just a tad of reverb. Use the separate outs and you´re in heaven.

Also check out OMD's Pacific Age (one of my fav's), A-Ha's Hunting High and Low is a great one as well as any Tony Mansfield produced album. Not a big B-52's fan but "Summer of Love" and "Girl from Ipanema" are very "Fairlit". Whatever happened to Tony? Is he still producing?

Hi Laurent,
That is a great clip :-)
Don´t you or others have the entire song for us to watch?
In the late 80's Jan Hammer made another music video of a Miami Vice theme where he was playing his SIII facing a large screen with the Miaimi Vice series running.
Does anybody know if that video is accessable somewhere on the net or if some Fairlight member have digitized it? That's a cool Fairlight manifest too.
Best regards
Brian

Hello there,

anyone has seen the clip "Etude" by Mike Oldfield ? It's on the
"Elements" DVD, lovely presentation of his Series II Fairlight.

Cheers

Roland
