CMI 2X Version 1.3 library

CMI 2X Version 1.3 library

2006-07-10 by James Thomson

Hi Guys,

I have a list of the CMI 2X version 1.3 30 disk sound library, however
there are many sounds that I do not have. I have all of the version 1.0
library but there were quite a few changes to the 1.3 library. Some version
1.0 sounds have been dropped with newer sounds being added.
Is there anyone who has the full library and would be happy to let me copy
the disks? Many thanks !

Regards,

James Thomson

stearmer is not loading any sounds on series III

2006-07-19 by greg thurman

The only issue Im having now is the stearmer is not
loading any sounds. The red light comes on when the
tape is inserted. Then I quit to the shell and type
fromtape * <enter>
The monitor desplays rewinding but the tape never does
and the sounds from the tape never get loaded.
I don't believe I need any type of terminator or do I?
I also have the 8in drive conneted as well as my 4 gig
hard drive of sounds.I have not any need to test the
floppy as I haven't had a need for it. My main concern
now is getting the steamer to properly load the tape.
Please advise advise with any comments or suggestions.

thanks

Gt

Have you tried typing Dirtape and seeing if the contents are still there?
Kind regards,
Peter

The error I get when I type Dirtape is

Insert tape in drive (if not already rewinding)
The red light is always on and I have to control c,
sort of like I do when using unix to break to the
command prompt.
