He also stated it has 24 channels, at the beginning he says 4 digital channels. Peter Wielk asked him a question too. I noticed that the previous auction that sold this was indeed from the same guy, but both he as well as the buyer left positive feedback for it ! ?! I think the whole issue is a bit funny. That's why I am not bidding. Regards, Harald.

I would recommend paying a bit more for a true 24 channel MFX3(+) which are for sale on e-bay every now and then. You easily run out of channels. Harald.

To use cmi software you need a waveform supervisor card /On the MFX3+ it was replaced with a waveform executive that only control DTD software ( no more Quasar bus , so good by cmi ) You can use cmi software only on the very first versions of the mfx3. Further you need an external rack to plug your 14 cmi voices ( you lose 2 voices because of the link with the mainframe ) The mfx3 itself has the dtd voices. On the ebay picture I just see a very incomplete Mfx3 (+?) system. It seems it doesn' t have simply the 24 tracks for dtd editing. And the cmi voices rack is not present. --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, "Harald Feldmann" <feldmann@...> wrote: > > > > Which does not help much as it has changed from a MFX3+ to a MFX3 > > It's a bit odd to say the least. > > > I also noticed the strange situation with the previous sale. > > > > Anyway what do you guys think about this one? > > Fairlight MFX Mini System Rare! > > > > Expensive, considering the fact that you cannot expand a mini beyond 8 > channels afaik.
