Fairlight purchase advice

Fairlight purchase advice

2007-06-11 by acidrockers1

Hi all,
I would like some advice on what is a fair price for a
fairlight IIX with midi and the series 3, and what optional extras I
should be looking for if any.
I am interested in having both systems for my studio.
If anyone knows of any up for sale I may be interested
Regards
Matt.

Hi Matt,

It very much depends on the technical state and the options installed.
What also may factor in is whether it is a celeb machine. I can imagine
Madonna's machine selling for more than studio x's.

I would not sell my Al Jourgensen 9.34 III just yet, it's just too
different because of its 'artistic renderings'.

I'd say expect 4-6000 US for a IIx with libraries, 6000+ US for a III.
Both in full working order. But again, supply and demand determine the
price.
Also be aware that international shipping and crating will add 1500 US
easily.

Regards,
Harald.
