My Series III booting up (or not!)

My Series III booting up (or not!)

My Series III booting up and stopping on the Fairlight E.S.P rev 9.34 page

Series III booting pics

Maybe someone can help me with what might be happening!
It was upgraded by Peter Wielk and worked until I moved from Germany
to Belgium. Then it lay dormant for a while and when I booted it
again, it ended up here...

Any thoughts??

Thanks
David Morley

Re: My Series III booting up (or not!)

Hello again
Well, Termination doesn't change anything. The battery is dated 1986,
so I will order one and replace it (if I can find one!)
But basically still no joy :-(
Thx

CMI components-please confirm

2007-11-14 by M.J.B.

Are any of these components used in the voice
boards or sound processing on the Fairlight CMI
II...

4558 and TL082 op amps, 2SK68 fet's,
VCF with 2SC2291 2SC1583.
CA3080 VCA
uPC141C, 2sb511, 2sd313, 2sb560E

How do the envelopes on the CMI work-are they
voltage controlled, how they are they built?
What is the VCA on the CMI board?

Basically, is there a source where I can see a
component catalog for the unit?
Micah
