Fairlight-CMI

Hello,

I'm a new member and recently in the market to buy a CMI IIx. What is considered a fair price for a fully working unit in decent cosmetic condition (with and without sound libraries)? Any help and guidance appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, George,

I just bought a IIx, in very attractive condition for its age. Around $4000 US seemed fair to me, but YMMV. A word of warning, though, the shipping might be problematic, and account for a fair chunk of the total cost. This one included the sound library floppies, although such things are not hard to obtain if you've got some 8" floppies, or can adapt the machine to 3.5".
