CMI 2X monitor flickers

Hi Fairlight people,


  The monitor on my CMI 2X starts to flicker after about 10 minutes or  
so from powering the system on.  It is unusable in this state.  Is  
there anything I can check for ?  I have various spare cards , so  
perhaps I could swap out a digital board to see whether its the card  
or the actual monitor itself which has the fault.  Any help would be  
greatly appreciated.  Many thanks.

Hi Guys,

I think I may have fixed it. I removed the Q -219 graphics card and sprayed some DeOxit on the card gold connector pins which seat into the mainframe. I reseated the card a few times and also used some deoxit on the small black connectors which send the video signal. Have had the system on now for an hour and there hasn't been any monitor flicker !
