Does anyone have an old mfx3+ console kicking about they want to get rid of? I don't need the power supply (although that might be handy), and I don't need it functional - just complete. Jean-Luc

Thomas, once you've read the data, what process do you then use to end up with a PC-readable file?

Hi, once you have obtained a demodulated image of the floppy, you can use the "cmios9" tool to access the filesystem (e.g. get/put files, convert samples to WAV). Hope this is helpful, Michael --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, "Peter Vogel" <peter.vogel@...> wrote:

Peter - You can use the CMIOS9 software that runs on PCs to get into the disk images. Also, in case anyone is interested in disk imaging - I put together an 8" floppy drive and an old PC running WIN98SE/DOS for making disk images. I've written up the process for how I put it together and show it imaging some of the disks, both reading from and writing to the 8" floppy. You can find it here: http://synthroom.com/synths/fairlight-cmi/fairlight-disk-imaging/ Enjoy! Kirk --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, Thomas Heckmann <troperecordings@...> wrote:

Look in the past of this groups. For recall. In this group we (Joe Britt, Klaus Michael Indlekofer, Joerg M. Sigle and me) are already talked about the making of disk images for Fairlight ... and also full of something (serial, floppy, etc) ;) Simply search, a few years ago ;) Regards, JB Le 22/04/2013 15:59, Kirk Keyes a écrit :

Thanks, Peter! J-L - I should have some soon. In the mean time, check out the Fairlight USA site as they have a lot of disk images there: http://cmi.fairlightus.com/ Follow the link for Jeff's disks and then make sure you navigate around in the directory tree as there are a lot of images there in other directories.
