Hi Everyone -

Just a quick introduction - I'm new to the group.

My name is Tim Curtis and I'm in the Milwaukee area. For the last 12 or
more years I've owned the last IIx that Fairlight built. (The one that
was given away in the contest) Long story on that one.

I've been active in the Fairlight community for years and have provided
a bit of support over the years, including the restoration and support
of a pair of IIx's for Prince a few years ago.

I've got a pretty extensive collection of manuals for many of the
Fairlight products - both user and service manuals, so if anyone has
questions, feel free to contact me.

Thanks!

Tim

Welcome Tim!

So Prince is still using the CMI? I wonder if Lisa Coleman still uses hers? Haven't heard
anyting about her since she & Wendy released their first album together so long ago.

Oh PLEASE DO TELL on your 11x tha Keyboard gave away! I sent in STACKS and
STACKS of postcards for that throughout the length of the contest. Some in
handwriting, some in calligraphy, some typed, some fancied up. I used to sit and have
friends help me fill them out. Won't tell you how depressed I was the day the winner
was to be drawn and my phone didn't ring. If I remember right, the woman who
originally won it was a pretty girl! Forget her name, Debbie or something like that?
Well, the second woman as the first had to forfeit due to tax burdens according to
Keyboard magazine.

I bought a series lll in February or so of this year.

Happy New Year!

Jerry
