Can anyone tell me, up to which Epson FX printer is OK to use on a
Series III. There are many printers in the FX range and I'm looking
one to print out directories. If anyone knows any other printer that
works with the Series III please let me know.
Many thanks
Best regards

Colin

Hi Collin,

My HP LaserJet 4M has a db9 input port and I printed with success
both ascii files and cmi screen dumps.

Hope it helps.

   Laurent.

Hi Collin,

No problem at all. You just need a db25->db9 converter to
plug the Series III on the LaserJet db9 serial port.
The good thing is that the printer is shared with my other
computers (using the parallel port) without any cable
manipulation. The printing quality is excellent. The SD
utils to print CMI screen dumps perfectly handle the
HP LaserJet once it has been correctly setup.

Hope it helps.

	Laurent.

Hi Collin,

I made a mistake in my first mail, the laser printer I have at home
is a Hp LaserJet 4P. And not a 4M, which is the one we use at work...

Best regards.

   Laurent.
