SVGA

SVGA

2003-07-21 by Colin Ross

Hi Kevin
I am aware of a svga card for the Series III as i have sourced one
for mine, however this card may work on a IIx also as these are very
simular graphic cards. The only difference is that the IIx software
program Rev 19 or 20 does not have SVGA programmed into it and this
may be the stumbling block. As the Series I II IIx depended on the
software for nearly everything.
I asked Peter Weilks about this, (A GREAT GUY FULL STOP AND WHEN IT
COMES TO FAIRLIGHT NO BETTER MAN) who has this as a top priority and
is going to try it out to see if it does work or if software is
required. If it is software, he knows the right people who used to
work in Fairlight (as he used to work there himself)to try to
attempt it. (don't know how long this would take.)The Series III
SVGA card work on a number of flat screen monitors and looks great
but not all monitors work.
Mention my name if you contact him and he will take a bit off the
price.
Hope this helps
Best regards
Colin Ross
