Fairlight-CMI

I think (though I could be wrong) that the VGA cards where designed 
for the MFX software. A couple of the "extra" MDR screens in 9.34 
make extensive use of colour, and look very nice.

Rev 9 is MFX1, hence the colour VGA card support
Rev 11 is MFX2

can't wait to try the MDR screens :-)

yes the
Fairlight logo disappears as you rightly say beause rev 9 (MFX1) was
designed for colour graphics, and had a flashing red discs access 
logo.
However, this is the only aspect of the CMI software that had colour!
