FAIRLIGHT MFX2 ON EBAY
2004-03-24 by mjw8787
Hi to all, My name is Mark (aka mjw87) and I am the legitimate seller of the FARILIGHT MFX2 on Ebay and just joined this group to post this message. I listed my system on Ebay 9 days ago (Ebay listing #3711575832) and 2 days ago it was brought to my attention that someone stole my auction page and listed it as a new auction - obviously a SCAM!!! I already reported this to Ebay Safe Harbor, but they're pretty slow to react. If you look carefully at the scam-auction, you'll notice that all pictures have a little red imprint "mjw87 Ebay auction 2004" Obviously, the seller of the scam auction is NOT mjw87 but if you look at the original (my) auction#3711575832, the seller is mjw87 with 175 feedback. In fact the this scammer (must have been in a hurry) didn't even bother to take out relevant facts about me (as a seller) from my auction page, like the statement "Bid with confidence, I'm the reputable Ebay seller since 1998 with 175 positive feedback only." Well, he's not mjw87 and his feeback is 0 and he just joined Ebay on 03/23/2004. My auction page also has a link to my website that has more pictures and demo sounds (www.wavebeam.com/MFX2). The Scammer didn't even bother to take that link out so if you click on that link you'll get to my website which now also has a red warning and explains which is the real and legitimate auction. At this point, I'm considering cancelling the auction and relisting it to give potential bidder a chance to figure out what's going on and clear the confusion. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at: mjw87@wavebeam.com Regards, Mark mjw87
