CMI Exployer

CMI Exployer

2003-08-09 by Colin Ross

Hi all
Great news. Rob Jarrett has developed a software that allows you to
connect a Fairlight external medea (hard drives Jaz etc) via SCSI to
a PC and Mac and you can explore the contents of that drive. You can
move files name files create folders and alot more. I see this as a
major development and a break through far all of us. This has been
something all of us have been waiting for. This now means that
sample trading is possible and this forum is going to start that
real soon.
WELL DONE ROB!!!!!!!!!!!
Regards
Colin

Hi Guys,

Well all I can say is Rob Jarrett has now taken things to the next level!
This is a very exciting development for all of us. I have a G3 400 Pismo
Powerbook and I will need to buy a PCMIA SCSI card as well as run Real PC.
It will be very interesting to see if it actually works well with this
combination. I still have to get my 4 gig SCSI drive all set up first and
then I would like to try CMI Explorer. Great news !

James Thomson

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
