I'm busy 'playing' with him/her. They ONLY accept bank transfers. Sounds a bit like the same guy that stung me for £360 (Virus b) last year. I wonder!!!

Ok... It is for SURE a CROOK !!!

I sent him a mail to have some picture of the beast and guess what...
I received some hight quality images from the last machine sold
by Synhouse... A Synclavier !!! (I'm serious) This guy don't even
know what is a Fairlight...

I already informed SynHouse about it... I'll contact E-bay on
that matter. We maybe should all do the same.

Regards.

Laurent.

I would be *really* grateful for any information you can get regarding
either his name or bank account details - reason..... last year I lost
£2,000 which was a 25% *deposit* on a genuine (sic) UK 240V 50Hz
Hammond B3 that I won on eBay.

The *seller* (read con artist) was a guy called 'Oleg Matrosov' and
set up the whole thing from an address in Eastbourne (not far from
Hove). Sussex Police have my statement and have asked me to provide
any information I can to help track him down.

For those who are interested he actually had us turn up in a van with
the balance in cash to collect the B3 - when we got there - it was a
dentist surgery :-( I live in North Yorkshire so this was no small
trip! You can imagine my mood for the next 24 hours.....

Aparently he's a very nasty piece of work and eBay scamming is only a
tiny portion of his 'repetoire' which, according to the Police,
include narcotics, human trafficing and online fraud.

If you can get me any information, it might help the Police catch him
- by the time the £2k had gone into his account, he'd closed it down
and dissapeared.

Thanks for listening

Philip

The really sad thing about all these frauds is that ebay take no responsibi=
lity.
In the "real world", this wouldn´t happen. A proper auction house has respo=
nsibilities.
Ebay just let you leave feedback (ooohhh scary) and after 2 months mucking =
around tell
you to contact the FBI or the police. Thanks guys You were a broker in the =
deal, but when
it all goes wrong.....I still find it strange that they are legally not bou=
nd to provide more
help in this respect. Maybe they can´t afford too?? ;-)
My rant over and condolences Philip!
