Does look a bit odd - the guy's feedback profile shows he's a history
of selling musical instruments (TR-808 / MCI 4 track) all through 'Buy
It Now' auctions which ended within 6 hours or so - to low feedback
buyers - it's as if he's trying to build up a feedback profile of
music pieces in order to pull a con.

He's copied the description of the Synclavier from somewhere else (it
discusses "our Interchange application" so this sounds like an old
Synclavier brochure) and doesn't explain that this is only a VPK Mark
1, which without the remainder of the Synclavier system is as much use
as a bicycle to a fish!

Also, ISTR the VPK wasn't introduced until around 1986 - so this guy's
description is full of errors.

Does indeed sound very odd!

FWIW - the VPK is probably worth around £500 to £1,000 to a Synclavier
owner with a damaged / missing VPK (or a Synclavier II owner with an
old ORK). If it was a 'mint' Mark 2, about £1,000 to £1,500 and a Mk
3 (Tripp) around £2,500.

Well spotted Peter! :-)

Seems VERY high spec for a 1977 piece of kit ;-)
