Staedtler permanent OHP red will hold up best in my experience, but fresh  
pens are also better there, so get the refill bottle.

Just do them both at once then you don't need to protect anything.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
