Tandy used tin plating on the TRS-80 Model 1 expansion connector, it was rather unreliable and some people soldered gold-plated connectors onto their units. I never bothered and just unplugged and replaced the connector each time I used the computer, or kept the power on all the time. The current through the connector kept it conducting properly. Leon
