I'm pretty sure the R200/R300 series cartridges are spongeless. But not so easy to refill OEM cartridges inside the printer, although I'm checking that out. Or get a cheap set of 3rd party cartridges. It's not so hard to refill sponged cartridges. It's actually better not to remove them from the printer. A bulk ink system really is -much- easier than refilling.
