The Sodium Hydoxide is of course Lye, which is often found in the drain cleaner section (you want pure Sodium Hydoxide, not mixed with any thing else). Lye is more damaging and should be treated with appropriate care. (Gloves, safety glasses, plenty of ventalation, plus always add the lie to the water, not the other way around). They also give you the concentrations normally used to develop and strip the the boards.
