Many years ago I built an automatic color print processor. The hardest part was getting a Laminar Flow across the surface of the paper so that it would develop evenly. I built a chamber with a lot of baffles that took the flow from a pump and spread it evenly through a slit at the top of a ramp where the paper was held. It worked great, but was only one sided. Doing this on both sides should be possible, but would take some experimentation.
